Anti-Bullying T-shirt Competition

There’s a new way to fight bullying, and it’s through t-shirts.  On Pink Shirt day, February 29, 2012, the Waterloo Region will be printing t-shirts with the logo of the winner of their competition for their event.  The winner will not only have their own design printed but win $100 cash, recognition in the Waterloo Region Record, two tickets in the Record Box Suite at a Kitchener Rangers game and four other tickets to their 2011-12 season game.

There’s nothing like winning lots of stuff just for creating a t-shirt.  Of course, there’s a catch and some rules you need to follow so pay attention.  If you aren’t a student in grade 7-12, then you can’t apply.  Also, the t-shirt needs to be a solid color and have one logo on it.  The rules don’t specify where, so it doesn’t have to be in the middle.  Use some creativity, because you are going to need it.

Submit your name, school, grade and phone number with your design to get accepted.  Send all this information to:  contests@therecord.com.  Your design needs to be sent in the e-mail as well in one of the following formats:  JPEG, GIF, PDF or EPS.  It cannot be larger than 10 inches x 10 inches.  You can check out their flyer here if you like.

Start getting those creative juices flowing and do your part in fighting against bullying today.
