Antique t-shirts

Ever seen one of those old pictures or portraits from ye olde’ time?  We are talking before your parents were born, or even more than that!  What about medieval pictures or ancient sculptures from ages long past?  They look great right?  How about putting them on your t-shirt?  No, still not good enough?  Well, what if they were really funny on top of that!  That’s exactly what ThenWear.com did.

Their motto is “show’em you were there, then” is what they are all about.  They sell t-shirts that “existed before t-shirts existed”.  You’ve got your presidential tees with Uncle Sam saying “aw hell, let’s just re-elect Obama” or the Andrew Johnson “hang onto your Johnson!” campaign.  The Medieval Ish t-shirts are also pretty funny.  One says “kiss me I’m not consumptive” or “sorry, not a witch, move on” which was when the Salem Witch Trials were the latest controversy.

A series of shirts on spring breaks around the world is also antique but creative.  They have Cuba Spring Break from 1962 with two guys riding in a Cadillac.  Another is from East Germany with bear mugs.  One of my personal favorites is the Mozart Mo-Z tour tee.  It’s a picture of Mozart with a backwards cap, throwing up a hand sign.

The company allows you to choose your size and color, and there are various styles from women’s tees, long sleeve, short sleeve and even mugs.  Each style has colors to choose from, and while some of the shirts can be a little expensive, they are definitely something you won’t see anywhere else.
