The World’s First Programmable T-Shirt

T-Shirt OS

Is this for real?  Are t-shirts becoming the next frontier of the technological age?  Perhaps.  This new t-shirt prototype from the people at Work Club, Cutecirctuit and Ballantine’s has combined an LED display, cameras, microphones, and speakers to a small CPU that can link to smartphones to increase the power needed to operate mobile technology.  So while it’s not a computer on a t-shirt (which would be really weird) it does serve the purpose of increasing your mobile needs.

Pricing for the t-shirt has not been released, but I guarantee it’s not going to be in the bargain basket at Old Navy.  Just a hunch, but this t-shirt might break triple digits.  And if you’re going to be paying over $100 for a single t-shirt, I wonder what the washing requirements are going to be.  Surely you can’t simply throw it in the wash with your beat-up vintage Beatles t-shirt, right?

On a complete side note, why does the image on this t-shirt say “Hel World!”  Perhaps t-shirt computers aren’t that smart after all.
